Hello my fellow pizza lovers! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve put up a blog post. Unfortunately my pizza travels have slowed while I focus on other projects. But I’m getting back into it, and today I want to share about a wonderful pizza spot called Asheville Pizza & Brewing.
One of my best friends and I took a weekend trip to Asheville, North Carolina and the first place we stopped was for pizza. I actually had my eye on another pizza spot, but walking through downtown we came across Asheville Pizza & Brewing and we were sold. It was one of the best decisions we made the entire trip. First of all, the atmosphere of the brewery is so fun and colorful. Secondly, they have large indoor and outdoor seating areas. And thirdly, the pizza was to die for, we wanted to stay and keep ordering slices. It’s difficult to describe what was so perfect about it–maybe just being in such a beautiful city–but I would go back to Asheville Pizza & Brewing again and again.
Both of us ordered giant slices, mine being a plain chicken and hers being basil, bacon, and smoked gouda. Quotes while eating their pizza included “this pizza is magical,” and “I’m so happy to be alive.” Their menu is so diverse, and for their pizza alone, they had toppings I didn’t even know you could get on a pizza. Black beans. Almonds. Walnuts. SPAM. Altogether it was an amazing experience, I definitely give it five stars.
P.S. Their beers and ciders are amazing too. I recommend the Ninjabread Man Porter and the Bold Rock Premium Dry Cider.
